Mc Donalds - kings of nutrition

Toyota Prius drivers compete with them selves, using their digital "ecometer" in getting less milage everytime they drive from home to work.

Photovoltaics owners check their electricity meter once or twice a day,  satisfied to see it spinning backwards, and thus generating more power than it consumes.

And now those who chase their daily calories will have a new excellent tool to do their math. At Mc Donalds!

The worldwide restaraurant chain will launch nutrition labels on all of their food items, beginning this Winter during the Olympics in Italy. They also will launch a website on which you can keep track of your eating.

Mcdkille_2The initiative is just another example of how McDonalds are going through a tremendous change in their proposition to us customers. From the ugly supersizing bastard they are now in the lead of giving us a choice in what we like to do with our eating. They don't do it by banning the greasy options or blaming us for bad habits. They do it by delivering options. Or, if you want, freedom.

Still sceptic, just think, where else can you see the complete nutrition content when eating out? On your local Chinese restaurant? Hardly. In the pizzeria? Nope. The fine dine haute cuisine restaurant? Who we, this is art, not nutrition!!!

So, if Mc Donalds can deliver the food and now also the tool to see if it fit into your daily diet. Perhaps their customers can use it to take a little more responsibility. And I think they will.
